Sample spec

What you approve before the clock starts

Every Build starts from a written spec like this one. You revise it until it is right; the 14 days begin when you approve.

Example · made-up product, not a client project

Goal

A web app where a property management team uploads lease PDFs and gets a one-page summary of key dates, rent terms and renewal options, reviewed by staff before it is saved.

Users

  • Property staff (upload, review, approve)
  • Account owner (manage staff accounts, see usage)

Screens

  • Sign in and staff invite
  • Upload: drag in one or more PDFs
  • Review: AI summary beside the source, editable, with an Approve button
  • History: approved summaries, searchable by date
  • Billing: plan and invoices

Acceptance criteria

  • A staff member can upload a 10-page PDF and see a summary on the same screen.
  • Nothing is saved until a staff member clicks Approve.
  • Each summary shows which page each statement came from.
  • The owner can remove a staff account and that person loses access immediately.
  • The app runs on the client's own hosting and AI provider accounts after handover.

Standard Build scope

  • Discovery call and a written spec you approve before build starts
  • Working app on our standard stack (sign-in, payments, database, hosting)
  • You own the source — zip / git at handover
  • Live URL in 14 days from spec approval
  • After handover, changes are quoted in writing first.

Out of scope

  • Mobile native apps, custom model training, or multi-region HA
  • Open-ended consulting hours
  • Ongoing hosting and third-party fees (AI/API usage, domains) after handover
  • Integration with the team's property-management software (quoted separately if wanted)

Terms

$10,000 fixed · live in 14 days from spec approval. Nothing is due until you approve the written spec. Then we send one invoice for the full $10,000, directly from QuantumLabs. On full payment, all rights in Build deliverables transfer to you.

How long does the spec take?

Discovery is one call. We write the spec from it and revise it with you until you approve. That time is not part of the 14 days; the clock starts on approval.

The full process is on How it works.
